i'm afraid I disagree - facebook legitimately provides information about
the user who logs in. Empathy then displays this private information to
all my contacts. If Empathy cannot tell whether the email address
associated with a facebook account is private, it should not use it!

This can't have been given a lot of thought. How about /home/user ,
/home/user/Desktop /home/user/Documents...

I am using karmic up to date today (24th July).
I have auto-login configured, and haven't changed the default screensaver
settings.
If I boot the computer and leave it, the auto-login works, and the screensaver

I'm afraid I still can't move panels to the right-hand monitor, but

I have the same with repeated insertions of the same audio CD.
Only one entry appears in Nautilus places, but each iterations adds
another desktop icon. All the desktop icons for the CD disappear when I
eject it.

This is very much still a bug in Jaunty, post alpha 6
Drag on it's own copies (which I think is incorrect - it should MOVE by
default - who wants to duplicate menu items?)
Drag-ctrl removes the +, indicating it is going to copy, but this is not
allowed.

same issue for me: automatic login works, but ctrl-alt-backspace
restarts X to an "authentication failure" error on the gdm login screen
