To avoid having to redo this after every reboot, just add the it to your
profile ;)
In case one doesn't know where to find it:
- go to your users home directory using "cd" without arguments
- then do "vi .profile" (or

Same issue here, RGB and BGR give identical results, instead of the
different ones like VBGR and VRGB. Attached are a few screenshots that
clearly shows the issues.
In case it matters: I am using a multi-monitor setup with two monitors
that have different subpixel ordering, so results will be blur

in the unstable cycle, but rather in a stable 10.10 install.

consistency issue.
The indicators provide middle click functionality. Some apply this, some

Yes there is a workaround. Move the songs the codecs are asked for to
folder that is not included in your library.

Haha, to some extent you are right ;-).
BUT: For me this worked, because I could easily locate the files through the
panel on the left. The files were listed under the "Errors" tab.

In case it makes any difference, I remembered the size of the disc
wrong. Brasero was going to write 199 MB but it stopped at 50.

If you see it like that, you are right Alex.
I think it should be fixed, too, and I believe that more people than one could
imagine run into this problem, since virtually everybody who has migrated from
Windows to Linux will have incompatible file formats stored in his library
folders.

I was just about to report this major restriction, too, and am glad that
you have also reported it.
As I see it, creating such a dialogue should be an easy, but absolutely
urgent and necessary task. Ubuntu is still lacking some "standard
features" that can be *very* annoying, and among these I cou
