IMHO, the boot progress messages can be completely removed. They serve no
purpose whatsoever to the end user.
Although you might need to change the progress bar to something that's
constantly animated (like Windows's startup bar) so that people know the bootup
is still progressing, if it takes

I can confirm this on an up-to-date Hardy. Moving the mouse cursor onto
the network usage graph makes a dip in the graph a few pixels wide. The
graph then recovers. This happens every time I move the mouse onto the
graph, so it really doesn't seem to be just a coincidence.

Happens here too, with a Canon PowerShot A510. Manually launching the
import wizard works. I'm not sure what would be the relevant log file
here.

Sorry, my "fix" was bogus. I checked the results with a TeXmacs-produced
PDF, which apparently includes different fonts than what e.g. pdfetex
does. The TeXmacs fonts look fine. (I wonder why.)

I see a lot better rendering now. I don't see any relevant entries in
the poppler changelog though, so maybe it's something local.

When using the unmount feature in the right click menu of my iAudio 5
portable audio player, I get an error dialog that says:
Cannot unmount volume
Cannot unmount the volume.
Details:
Cannot remove directory
This is a regression, since it work
Argh, forgot to mention that the unmounting actually does work, despite
the error dialog. So the bug is that the error dialog appears for no
reason.
Also, the "writing data to device" notification bubble never disappears
unless manually clicked on.
