same problem here.. I use 2 Googlecalendars, the personal from inside evolution and Contacts' Birthdays. The CPU usage climbs to 100% right after system startup so I have to kill evoution-alarm every time I boot. Still - I am not sure if this is a bug in Evolution, is it possible that the gnome
