Kjell, what version of Ubuntu are you running? Sebastian is running Feisty
(testing) so that may be the issue mismatch. I'll try to replicate this on a

This is actually the desired behavior due to the legality of the codecs
needed to play these files. Ubuntu can not ship with these codecs but
it is possible to install them, please see:

This is likely due to the Content Scrambling System which is used by DVD

I've just tested on Fesity and Ubuntu with Firefox 2.0.0.5 and
Thunderbird 1.5.0.12. I am unable to reproduce with the desktop effects
available for Ubuntu (Compiz) in either case. Can someone please post a

Sebastian, I asked because the your comment above said the core dump is
not usable with that kernel. I was under the impression that we needed a
