when hovering a gtk app (like xchat or gwibber), the cursor starts to
flicker like hell and the cpu sky rockets (Xorg, metacity and the given

code *writing* m3u to add the missing #EXTM3U header. So this is not
about *reading* m3u. And worse, this is the wrong bug as EXTM3U is about
Extended M3U playlists, while here, this is about simple M3U
I think what has been fixed is extended m3u files, i.e. files with a
#EXTM3U header.
Unfortunately for me, it's far from satisfactory:
$ find . -name \*.m3u -exec grep EXTM3U {} \; | wc -l
10
$ find . -name \*.m3u | wc -l
248
4% while in hardy, they all play just fine.

There are numerous problems with system cairo 1.4.10 compared to patched
mozilla cairo 1.5.2-55.
1st, system cairo has tons of fatal asserts, making firefox crash in different
locations with ugly messages. Mozilla turned asserts non-fatal as they deal
with errors they think important and ignore
seems this is similar to #94742 (unconfirmed too). I confirm I still see
the bug. My bet is on the separator but I haven't check the code.

Here is again how I see this issue :
Open the "Main Menu" application.
Select "System / Administration" in the left pane (Menus).
Add a separator in the right pane (Items) after the 4th entry.
