The USB device for the Treo doesn't get turned on until the sync button is
pressed. I think there's a USB trick where you can make /dev/pilot a link (hard
link, maybe?) /dev/ttyUSB1 and leave it dangling when the device disconnects.

I can't get any kind of sync between a Treo 650 and Evolution in
up-to-date-as-of-today Dapper. I think there are at least two major problems:
- The Treo seems to bring the USB connection up only when synching, so there's
some weird ordering bugs as to when you start the desktop software and whe
ry to
enable any Evolution conduits (or other conduits, as far as I can tell):

I'm using Intrepid, tracking with the latest version, i386. I just ran
evolution from the command line as requested; I'll attach the results.
And, yes, I saw the same error message as before.

It seems like some mail is being filtered, but I get lots of "Check Junk
Failed" errors in the status bar.
I believe "errorcode 1" for SpamAssassin is "this is spam", if you use
the -c cmdline flag. I might be wrong on that, though.
