I've played a little with the search function in nautilus, and I think
it isn't working well in the root directory for any reason.
If I search for a file in my home directory, it finds it (doesn't matter
if the file is in ~/ or in a subfolder). The same happens with folders:
it works fine.

This is because n-m uses gnome-keyring.

a) n-m no longer uses g-k

I've tried to restart gnome-panel with valgring, but I can't. If I just
start it, it complains because there is another panel running.
If I kill the other one, it restarts at the moment.

I just tried it as this sounds rather important, but couldn't reproduce
it.
My setup was vino 2.24.1 running on localhost with "holalá" as password,
and connecting with vinagre 2.24.2.
Can you give us very specific steps to reproduce the issue?

Another option would be to tell the port in a different parameter, say
$ vinagre --port=1000 127.0.0.1 (ipv4)
$ vinagre --port=1000 2001:0db8:0:0:0:0:1428:57ab (ipv6)
The port option could be -p / --port

Jaunty is not stable yet. Anyway, this bug is in gtk-vnc. If I have time, I'll
see if we can backport the fix to Intrepid.

Do you mean the connection freezes when you copy something from Ubuntu
into Ubuntu, without interacting with the remote computer?
I've tried to reproduce copying a 1GB file to a folder, when connected
to a Hardy remote computer, and it worked fine.

When you open Vinagre, it doesn't start any connection. Is vinagre
opened fullscreen? I can't find how to trigger that, for me it always
opens in a normal window (not fullscreen), no matter if I close Vinagre
with alt-f4 when I have a connection opened and in fullscreen.
