recipe). Could that be an issue? I have 4.15, I don't think a newer
kernel is available in Ubuntu.

I run totem locally, in a gnome session under Xorg, with the goom effects
activated. No xgl, beryl, compiz etc.
My videocard is a Radeon Mobility X1400 with proprietary driver (Xorg crashes
after the installation without it).

Well, I made some other tries. Now ekiga works. I disabled the "enable_preview"
flag from /apps/ekiga/devices/video in the register. I guess it is set to true
by default.
At this point I think the problem depends by the gspcav driver I use for my

Every time the Gnome session starts, it takes almost two minutes to
complete the loading. Adding to this, sometimes it fails to load
metacity decorator. The only way to load metacity is to execute it from
a terminal window or from the execut

Gutsy Tribe 2, in the other one I use Feisty with Gutsy's compiled
sources (so I have the same GNOME in both systems). Both machines have
