Hello. I think it really is a bug... I spoke with others with the same
version of Ubuntu, and they can switch to 1280x1024. My monitor supports
higher resolutions, and same is the video card (Nvidia FX5200). So, i
guess its a bug (a driver one, probably).

For some reason (I cannot remember) my root filesystem node "/" had the
owner set to my user. I guess this used to work for some time. And some

I don't see how anyone used to iTunes could be expected to accept as
poor a music manager as Rhythmbox as the default music library
application in Ubuntu. It is essentially unchanged in the last five
years and severely lacking in features. "Album artist" support is an

In Oneiric, as in Natty, Gnome Disk Utility starts up every time with
the window too small to see a sensible amount of information about the
volumes on a disk. The default should be changed. See the attached
screenshot.

I have to disagree with the low/wishlist importance. This bug seriously
impacts usability and "polish". It is the kind of thing that a
commercial operating system would not let slip through and reinforces
the impression that Linux-based OSs are left unfinished.

Further information: I use the Keyboard (Cherry CyMotion Master Linux)
in PS/2 mode on a docking station of an HP notebook. In
"/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/30-keymap-hp.fdi" the scancode of the
copy key (e00a) is mapped to "screenlock". In the same directory,
mappings for several other computer
I thought the problem had been solved for me, but the PDFs posted by
GiuseppeVerde still trigger the bug. I attach my PPD.
