Now instead of hanging it creates a gallery in which every other frame
is a duplicate of the preceding frame.
Gee, this used to be a nice feature.

I'm getting it too, also on 10.04 AMD64. Progress bar goes all the way
over and stalls. No file is saved and there's nothing to do but hit
Cancel. It doesn't seem to be consistent but I haven't identified
variables that will trigger or avoid it.
