As a workaround, I normally use emesene for my msn account as that is the one I
use the most, and I use empathy for facebook and google chat.
I like emesene because it's almost impossible to miss a message. The

It seems that it only shuts down when reproducing with totem-gstreamer.
It doesnt shuts down after 3 hours doing nothing and only firefox and gedit
openned.

Welcome screen, the first time user clicks on a username, password is for
very short readable on password text-box.
More cliks let read as many bullets as characters in the password (i.e.:
password length 8 char -> 8 bullets are shown).
Not the best for security.

Hello, the problem that I am presented with is basic, but quite annoying.
At any time without any type of pattern, when minimizing a window (of any
program), these remain as "background", and become part of the wallpaper. You
do not interact with it but it remains static on

I have disabled the extensions, but I have not been able to replicate the
bug, I have to mention that it happens randomly throughout the day. With
which I will continue using it in this way until the end of the day to see
if it can be replicated.

Being all day trying to replicate the bug, with the extensions disabled,
the bug was not replicated at any time, using the PC in a normal way, as at
all times, I attach the extensions that I use, I do not deduce which can
cause the bug .

The problem here is no the scaling itself, the problem here is being
able to separate screens configurations, fractional or not. You must be
able to set font sizes, scale, backgrounds, resolutions, etc, per screen
in an independent way.

I'm having the same issue (mostly) with Ubuntu 19.04.
I'm using:
WM: i3
DM: LightDM
Dock: Caldigit TS3 Plus with 2 monitors connected through DP daisy chain
If I suspend after undocking, when I resume the screen is blank, but the
laptop is not frozen because I can still type in commands and stuff
Forgot to mention, laptop is Thinkpad X1 Carbon 6th gen

I left the package field blank intentionally because I'm really not sure
if gnome-shell is the appropriate package. This is a problem related
with: window management and placement, GNOME dock and lockscreen.

The patch provided by Simon Arlott seems to correct the problem, gnome-
terminal behaves like expected now.

The reason for bug #1537064 is me nagging Yaron. The problem of BiDi
cannot be solved in a terminal vt100 environment. The reason - is that
the application does not telling the VTE the boundaries of the
paragraph.
