File-Roller is unable to open gzip-compressed files like pci.ids
Confim here also. Note that if the file extension is ended by .tar, the error
dissapear.
So, the error only appears with a non (.tar or .tar.gz) extension for the
filename.

It asks as a dependency for libgtk2 2.12.9-3ubuntu3 and only
2.12.9-3ubuntu2 seems to be installed.

I tried to find the source of the package, where is it written that I
downloaded it for hardy-updates ?
Indeed, I can see that 2 versions are enabled : ubuntu2(hardy) et
ubuntu(now).
