I restarted my system and ran 'gksudo nautilus'. It ran fine once, but after

Mesa 7.6 has the new r600 DRI driver (with 3D hardware acceleration).

I guess you've isolated the issue to the Intel driver then? Maybe you're
running Compiz and it's interfering with Xv (not unheard of). Try
disabling Desktop Effects and see if it helps. Another possible
workaround: go into gstreamer-properties and change your video to
X11/ximagesink.

OSS/4 users will want the libcanberra packages in that PPA as well (if
they want event sounds). ALSA users don't need to bother with the

I can confirm this bug for me, and I'm also not using PulseAudio. I'm
not using any GNOME accessibility features either (I don't even have
them installed). This is terrible; I can't even access my gstreamer or

find its way into Ubuntu soon. In the meantime, I have found that creating a

Installing Nautilus in Xubuntu 12.10 pulls in Redun
Please focus on one issue per bug report (and USE LESS CAPS). Ubuntu
10.04 probably needs a much newer kernel to get Realtek ALC892 working,
so we'll focus on Ubuntu 12.10. It seems like everything is working
correctly there except Totem crashing. Please start totem from the
