package (which I believe is part of Nautilus) gets confused and doesn't
properly update its own icon and status after being already emptied.

Thanks Martin & Sebastien, I can confirm it is fixed in 11.10 32 bit
Ubuntu :)
FYI, either the "updated" version stated here or within aptitude is
wrong because the package version of nautilus is still marked as 3.2.1
which I was already running and NOT 3.3.5.
For anyone else who wants to update:

This is an issue for as well. Nautilus showing the size of a video file
as 730mb when I know it to be 700mb.
