I had this exact problem a few months back, and changing my password
fixed it at the time. Yesterday it happened again, and I can't fix it.
Things I tried:
- changing my password
- setting my password to never expire
- rebooting
- logging into Windows to see if there was a message (there wasn't)
I had the 100% exact same problem that Andy describes. However, for me
it was not a problem with Nautilus at all, and just a misconfiguration
of samba's name resolution.
The way I fixed it was
sudo gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf
Uncomment this line (remove the semicolon)
; name resolve order = lmhos
I have a problem with this 'fix'. My new iPod Shuffle 2G does not
support m4a, and I WANT it to transcode the song to mp3 for me instead
of copying it.
