In my case its the power manager icon keeps appearing and disappearing
about every 20 seconds or so. When it does appear its always way to left
of the others icons with a empty space between them

Yes I do have a touchpad on my lenovo T61 and I did have the Disable
touchpad flag set. I have now unchecked the box and see how I go. thanks
for tracking this down.

Shotwell no longer starts from launcher.
If I try to start from command line i get this message.

I was playing a podcat mp3 file dragged the slider acroos to the right
about halfway across rhythembox just locked up. Force quit and restarted
plays the file ok but same problem happens again. Plays file fine if you
dont touch the slider

After loading all 12.04 updates over the weekend when I use shotwell I
only get half an image displayed , The shotwell viewer works fine. and
browsing the thumbnails works fine but as soon as you click a sing image
to fill the screen then only the left 1/2 to 2/3rds of the ima
