When I use the gnome "connect to server" tool to connect to a remote ftp
site, I can copy large files (like 1GB+) to my machine. When I do this,
the progress bar on the copying dialog reaches 100% long before the
entire file has been copied. The estimated time remaining also
ectly, the copy was not complete when the bar hit
100%. There was also plenty of network activity after that point. I
have used that same tool to copy files using scp and the progress bar
seems to be far more accurate over scp.

Yes, I'm still getting it too. Except I've noticed now that the
trash isn't always empty.
