just upgraded from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 Beta.
I restarted the computer. I get the log-in screen. I try typing my
password but it gets rejected. Then I try typing in the regular Qwerty
layout and it recognizes my typing.I am able to log-on. After logging
in, I can type in my Dvorak layout.

I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 beta (by doing [update-manager -d] in
Alt+F2)

"regular click". (I'm a left-hander using the left-handed settings in
Preferences/Mouse/[General Tab].) But the right button doesn't work.

When using my main (and only user) account:
~$ ps ax|grep saver
15224 pts/0R+ 0:00 grep saver
I'm not sure what that means. I trust you can interpret that.
If I can do anything else to help, please let me know.
