This bug has re emerged with Intrepid searches are linked to
http://search.ubuntu.com/help?os=ubuntu&ver=8.04&q="query term" Which
errors as a bad url. It should also be noted that the version
information in the refering url is wrong.

Confirmed as stated. Switchin to /dev/* fixes double icon visibility or
mounting to some other location than /media/ also fixes bug.
