What I expect to happen:
When selecting "Show Hidden Files" checkbox, I expect any icons on my desktop
for hidden files to appear and for icons for regular files to remain visible.

This bug also affects me when I have a Nautilus window of my external
drive minimized. If I click the Nautilus icon, it simply opens a new
window, instead of showing that minimized one. I'm not quite sure, but
it seems to happen frequently with mounted devices.

The filters that you can define in evolution to put E-mails into
different folders no longer works. I think this has something to do
with the 2.6.1-0ubu
I have 5 filters, and none of them have worked since yesterday. All the
filters do is put e-mails into the appropriate folder. For instance, I have a
filter that looks for subjects beginning in "[Bug" for bug reports. These
e-mails just go into the main inbox, and I have to move them manually
I downgraded evolution to 2.6.0-0ubuntu3, and they still won't work. I will
upgrade to the latest version again.

That must be the problem. I built /usr/local/bin/python from source, and
that's the python displayed with "which python". I find that
/usr/local/bin/python -c "import gtk" yields an import error, whereas
/usr/bin/python -c "import gtk" is fine. Clearly the problem is with my

I just (mid August '06) auto-upgraded to Dapper from Breezy.
I encountered the same problem on reboot.
The workaround provided by Nathaniel B. Jayme above worked for me.
This is a serious problem for anyone upgrading from Breezy to Dapper
with smbfs mounts in their fstab. Please fix!

I see this in Epiphany 2.16.0 in full screen mode. In normal mode, the
spinner is tiny (I assume 16x16). There is a patch on the upstream bug

Evolution still uses a GNOME about dialog instead of a GtkAboutDialog.

rubbish but widely used.

I'm still not sure why the Ubuntu icon was created with Adobe as opposed
to a free software application. All that needs fixed is the JPEG
thumbnails in the file need removed.

The problem is abiword-plugins, which would depend on libgoffice-1-2,
libgoffice-1-common and libgsf-gnome-1-113. Abiword-plugins-gnome

It's because the icons in Human are only 16x16, where the ones in
tangerine are scalable. I prefer the tangerine colours for the
next/previous etc. icons.
