Binary package hint: empathy
After quitting empathy the status icon doesn't return to its normal
state but gets greyed out. Only after a restart does it get back to the
normal red (switch like) icon. Pidgin in 9.04 didn't have this problem.

Yes it is reproducible, it happens every time I use empathy.
The status icon would normally look like screenshot-1. After I start empathy it
changes to screenshot-2 and it stays like that as long as empathy is activated.
After I quit [Chat>Quit from the Contacts list window] the icon changes to

Thank you for your patience Fabio. What I have been trying to say in my last
comment is that I am clicking on the 'Send Report' button, as in the last
screenshot, but for some reason the report is not getting attached to this bug.

I started facing this issue yesterday. I'm using a fully updated Lucid. Since I
started using Lucid I've had issues with icons in the panels not being rendered
properly [See attached screenshot1 and screenshot2]. It happens occasionally on
reboot, maybe once every 4 or 5 restarts.
