2006-04-11 Thread Bart Hartgers
Hi! I just finished my patch against 2.14.0 that uses xscreensaver-gl-helper to figure out what visual to use for the screensavers. This stops flickering and makes GL screensavers work just as good as with xss. The patch is at http://etpmod.phys.tue.nl/bart/gss-gl-patch.gz . My e-mail address i

Thanks everyone! This morning I realized I made a small error. Guess that was bound to happen ;-). I didn't close the pipe after reading from gl-helper. And for the heck of it, I added a loop to retry the read if interupted by a signal. The incremental patch against 2.14.1-0ubuntu2 is here: htt

My bad. Some googling showed that I can get the serial backend in cupsys if I configure the package correctly. However, in a way this makes the problem in gnome-cups-add even more serious. -- Cannot add a serial printer in Dapper https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/39412 -- desktop-bugs mailing

Hi! I made a patch against gnome-cups-manager-0.31 that adds support for serial printers. Without this patch, it was impossible to configure a serial connection for a printer. I added logic to detect when a serial://-uri is selected and to provide comboboxes for the various serial settings in

Okay, I used an editor to just copy the new ui bits into the old gnome-cups-ui-connection.glade file. I probably should have done that in the first place. Anyhow, this actually made the patch a little smaller. The IPP/SMB switch problem is gone, and the dialog box now has the same width as the
