But is it expected behavior of F-Spot view? If it is so, why is it set
to be default image viewer in Ubuntu? I think, that most of the users
want to have such a function in default image viewer.

Oh, I'm really sorry. The source of such strange behavior was that I
used Krusader to browse directory with pictures. When I open pictures
from Nautilus everything is fine.

I confirm it.
Evince doesn't work properly with two-column documents. If I select some text
in one column and there is a line break in another one, text is not selected
properly.
