The fix "2.22.1-0ubuntu2" did not fix this problem for me! It has been a
little improvment but the system-monitor is still useless when I try to
measure CPU usage compared to "% top". It is worst when the moitor is

Just want to say that I see the same. I'm testing Gutsy on a new laptop.
Added a new IMAP account, but unable to assign labels to mail. On my
other laptop using Feisty (Evolution 2.10.1) everything seems to work
fine.
Problem is with Evolution 2.11.6.1 on Gutsy. In my setup I'm using
Dovecot 1.0.0
For some reason I suddenly was able to add a label to one mail, but now
later I'm unable to do it again. Even unable to remove the label I put
on the previous mail as well. Have no idea why I was able to put a label
on it in the first place...

The bug in update-notifier is that the error message is confusing:
"internal error: failed to initialize HAL". There is no indication that
the error comes from update-notifier. Also, um, why does update-
notifier require HAL to be started, anyway?

The dialog is being displayed on a console that hasn’t been set up by
console-setup. It displays correctly if I change ACTIVE_CONSOLES from
"/dev/tty[1-6]" to "/dev/tty[1-8]" in /etc/default/console-setup, *and*

this.]
This still happens in Feisty and Gutsy. The dialog is being displayed
on a console that hasn’t been set up by console-setup. It displays
correctly if I change ACTIVE_CONSOLES from "/dev/tty[1-6]" to
"/dev/tty[1-8]" in /e
Try using grep --devices=skip, so that grep doesn’t try to read from
special devices (which can cause unpredictable results). See the grep
manpage for more information.

As of recent gutsy upgrades, when compiz terminates, the entire desktop
freezes. This happens on logout, and also after typing metacity
--replace (in which case the desktop freezes so quickly that the next
shell prompt does not even appear). Ctrl
I still see this in gutsy, with and without compiz. gnome-power-manager
and network-manager take two minutes (fairly exactly) to appear after
login. Furthermore, the System > Quit dialog will not appear during
this interval, either.
