In version 0.12.5 which was shipped with Karmic, left clicking would
show / hide the main window while right clicking would show a context
menu. This is consistent with the rest of the tray icons in both Karmic
and Lucid; all of them show the context menu on right click, and offer
some quick action
Here are the icons I use:
- Date & time applet: right click shows help & about & preferences menu, left
click shows / hides calendar and locations;
- NM applet: right click shows networking options (wired vs. wireless, edit
connections, connection info, about); left click shows / hides connectio
So for the next cycle, we can expect right click and middle click
functionality to be removed for all applets! Great! I can hardly wait. I
guess I'll be going back to Fedora, before Ubuntu becomes the next Apple.

I've found a solution to this problem. Change the value of the gconf
property '/apps/notification-daemon/theme' to 'standard' (instead of

The program 'gimp-remote' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadAtom (invalid Atom
I'm sorry, nothing in /var/crash :-(
But I did not know that directory, thanks for the tip anyway.

More info:
The problem seems only to happen to a newly started machine, when my
girlfriend tries to access a photo via a symlink to my account (photos
are stored on my account using my user rights set to 755).
I tried, using her account, to open a photo she downloaded and tada! it
worked. And AFT

Installed xine-ui and tested with xine - no distortion
present. Retested with totem (same file) and still got
distorted output. Thanks for looking at this one!

There seems to be no indication in the workspace switcher when a
workspace contains minimised applications.
This makes it very easy to forget to close an application before logging
out.
The minimised applications are only appearing on the ta
