I opened Gimp, then opened the David's Batch Processor, under the
latter's "Output" tab changed the format from BMP to JPG, clicked on the
"Rename" tab. (Possibly a few more tab changes were done, but no
processing started.) Then closed the David's Batch Processor window by

Okey, thanks for advice!!
I'll definitely test it (It should be easy, because the cause must be the
secondary monitor - the problems did not arise, when I was running only on the
primary).
I'll check to see if it's crossed somewhere under the table and possibly buy a
new cable.
