Problem dew to my install:
sudo apt install gnome-software gnome-software-plugin-snap-

to avoid snap support. after installing gnome-software-plugin-snap problem
disappeared.
in any case this remains a bug, why are the snaps offered to me but not the

I append a syslog containing logon and logoff cycle while the both
gnome-session-binaries are parameterized to run in debug mode.
This offers to first off study the bug without setting up a test
environment.

Nautilus crashes if nautilus-python is installed and
update_file_info_full is running and the folder is being left. This
happens because of a NULL deref.
My patch checks for NULL and returns to avoid the NULL deref.
