When I have a full desktop display (several overlapping windows), when I
close a window all other windows with the same name, and which were
above something else, disappear behind the something else.
This is new and highly undesirable.

Default desktop and font.
Two tests were done:
set 1: 12 year old DVI HD 24 inch monitor about to be recycled
set 2: new DP 4k 27 inch monitor
The difference appears worse on the 4k monitor. Look at the system
clock.
