I can't yet find any API mismatches between mutter and xserver-xorg-
input-libinput. Although there are new properties upstream, neither of
the packages in Ubuntu support them yet.

Yesterday I had zero problems with FF revision 2487 (firefox 111.0.1-2),
but today I got a bunch of updated mesa packages for 23.04, so, decided
to check if they helped, upgraded FF snap once again to rev.2559 and
this time system worked for a couple of hours before total GUI crash on
some youtube

the idea was born to address this issue in a more generic way via dh-
translations. So I submitted a pkgbinarymangler merge proposal (see link

I manually installed the 74ubuntu2 release on my Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS
system, and this release does not appear to fix the issue. I can also
confirm that Merci's description of the requirements to trigger the bug
also affect me in the same way. However, doing some additional checking,

The issue was resolved by using XORG instead of Wayland with NVIDIA.
Seems that NVIDIA hates it if you want a secure desktop environment,
even though you're already using their proprietary drivers. Filthy
NVIDIA.

journalctl command.

Terminals launched from the nautilus context menu ("Open in Terminal") do not
automatically receive focus.If one starts typing, the input goes to nautilus
instead of the terminal and the terminal needs to be selected manually to get
focus.
Steps:
1. right-click in nautilus
One more video showing how the dialog dominates the UI.
In the video I open a terminal and put a sleep (so I can setup the UI
dialog) in front of executing google-chrome as a simple example.
At the end of the video, the UI is still locked up but you can see the
copy dialog not behind the new wind

I'm using the nvidia 525-server drivers.
When I create a new user, then attempt to "switch to" that user from
another user's GNOME session, the new session immediately aborts and
I reset all the relevant packages back to the versions used when I
originally filed this bug (luckily I stashed an sosreport), and I was
able to reproduce.
