I have always been able to forward geany over ssh before.
Both machines are running ubuntu 20.10/dev/kinet

I have a Wayland session, from which I ssh to another host and run geany
(forwarded over ssh).
Gnome-shell immediately crashes.
Interestingly, forwarding xterm from the remote host does not cause a
crash.
