It's hard to confirm since a bug in errors.ubuntu.com puts all assertion
failures in the same bucket, but for months most of them have been this

Thanks Daniel for the solution, this fixes both night-light bug as well
as suspend screen bug, hope this will be included in the main files in
the coming updates. I m on dell g3 which has both intel and nvidia
graphics, looks like this is only affecting the ones who has graphics

Here is the output of gdb gnome-control-center.
After clicking on the button to access keyboard shortcut, gnome-control-
center didn't close but triggered the 'not responding' window, and I
clicked 'close' before continuing with the 'backtrace full' gdb command.

fwiw, I "solved" (sic) this by changing the os to Pop!_OS. Pop! has solved
many other issues with other apps.
