This is with Xorg fractional scaling on Ubuntu Budgie ARM64. We don't
have Wayland on Budgie DE, but I can flash Ubuntu 22.04 ARM64 on a spare
microSD and test. Give me a few hours and I will follow up on that.

Hmm one second delay is a bigger and different issue to bug 1902436.
I've never seen anyone use Xorg fractional scaling on Raspberry Pi
before but I would expect it to be super slow. Because Xorg fractional
scaling effectively requires 4x the GPU power and it's only a Raspberry
Pi... I would sugge

login name, but the name of the ubuntu session.

from 21.10.
I see that you marked this a low importance, but it makes it extremely
difficult to use the computer, as I have to keep my keyboard nearby and
reattach it the tablet just to open a file, copy, paste, etc.
Bug settings are a bit tricky, touch only configurations represent a low
percentage of the configurations but ineeded it is annoying for those
setup, I'm changing to High

I installed Ubuntu 22.04 on same RaspberryPI, and I noticed a huge performance
difference with fractional scaling on Wayland.
On Wayland I was unable to find any lag or delay or performance hit. On Xorg
though, even Ubuntu 22.04 had the same performance issues as Ubuntu Budgie
