funny enough, I have the opposite issue, 22.04 w/ gdm3 42.0-1ubuntu7
installed and Nvidia 510 driver. Hardware is a Dell XPS 15 9510 w/
GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU.
When selecting the Nvidia "On-Demand" profile, I get both, Wayland and
X11 in GDM. However, when I select "Performance Mode", X1

Further test after closing all Dolphin windows yielded a more typical file save
time for the 200 layer project. Additional testing to be done with the 250
layer project.

Hmm, maybe we still need to treat those errors as a separate bug. If you
look at a full system log like in comment #14 then you see the errors
occurring many times. But presumably the "freeze" here does not occur
many times. So they may not be the cause of the freeze.

gsettings list-recursively
If you're feeling adventurous and want to try resetting all your
settings to the system defaults then you can run:
dconf reset -f /
I do it regularly during Ubuntu development because I often find myself
getting stuck on
