I don't know if it is the right package against which I opened the bug report.
Unfortunately, under the new Ubuntu version 21.04, it is not possible to share
windows of many applications in videoconferences (due to Wayland?). This is a
big problem considering that many in th

1. Open Software & Updates and check Pre-released updates in the
Developer Options tab.
2. sudo apt update
3. sudo apt install libgnome-desktop-3-19 gnome-desktop3-data

This is still a problem on Ubuntu 20.04. Since it uses a completely
different desktop environment, the bug probably has a different root
cause, but the annoying user experience is exactly the same.

I'm experiencing this in Ubuntu Groovy 20.10 as well, but I generally
only notice it in the gnome top panel. Moving the mouse over the clock
or attempting to take a screenshot clears the display error. I've

I can easily confirm that gnome-shell 3.36 in Ubuntu 20.04 uses 2x more
memory than gnome-shell 3.38 in Debian testing.

Looking up this type of error message I end up here.
I have similar error message in my syslog . Seems to be related to function
keys like brightness or volume (hp pavilion notebook running ubuntu 20.04
with nvidia-drivers-460) .

.xinputrc has a line:

I will try commenting that out and then see if it fixes the problem
... that seemed to fix it, although I'm now getting a "Failed to load
module "canberra-gtk-module" " message.
