In Ubuntu 20.04 I had the problem that the automatic suspend
notification didn't disappear moving the mouse. I had to literally close
the pop up by clicking on the X. I noticed that in Power Settings, "Dim
Screen When Inactive" was turned off. I tried to turn it on, and now the
pop up disappear by

fixed by gnome-shell v3.38.2 in theory. There is however some evidence
now that it's not fully fixed...

Thanks for pointing that out. It appears we have a subtly different bug
in the same function. Almost the same line number but a different order
of log messages. I've now opened bug 1915681 about that unresolved
issue.
