I'm experiencing this issue on gnome-shell 3.38.2-1ubuntu1~20.10.1.
Gnome crashes randomly, this time it happened while MS Teams video call

Thanks for replying so quickly. Unfortunately step 1 didn't show any
crash reports.
Step 2 doesn't show anything recent, but there were crashes on January 6
that might be relevant. They are:

Just got this for the first time, 20.10. The cancel button reacts to
click but does not dismiss. Looks shady so I'm not going to try my
password. xkill has no effect. I see it's been nearly two years now.
