It sounds like the most problematic apps are going through Xwayland.
Actually I've seen similar issues with poor scaling of Xwayland apps and
need to make some time to find out what the mechanism is that makes them
scale correctly on Xorg but not on Xwayland...
In the meantime, Firefox should be f
Thank you for your bug report, the error is in /usr/share/nautilus-
python/extensions/clamtk-gnome.py which seems an extension you
installed, could you try removing the corresponding binary and see if
that resolves the issue?

I suspect this might be an old bug that has always existed. Only we
didn't hit it until now because bug 1898005 would crash first. Now bug
1898005 is fixed in 3.38.2, this other issue is able to crash instead :P

Hey, Daniel, please don't sound as if I had questioned the whole
workflow for your great work with triaging desktop bugs. It was
certainly not my intention to do that; my apologies if it sounded
otherwise.
What I brought up was that tag - and the way you said in comment #3 you
use it occasionally.
Daniel, Gunnar, it sounds like email would be a better venue to continue

I regularly plug into an external monitor with an HDMI connection, and
run both screens (the external monitor and the built-in laptop one)

design to allow the gnome extensions to wreck the whole desktop.
