I'm using gnome-shell with wayland (don't know if that matters), and,
when I press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-R, nothing happens. I checked my keyboard
shortcuts, and this shortcut is supposed to trigger screencasting.

This problem is unaddressed on two computers after upgrading to Ubuntu 20.10.
Now I can using the GUI set up a custom keyboard shortcut associated witth the
"search" key, but it still does nothing. Pressing the "search" key just gives
me the desktop search.

Hi,
I'm on Linux Mint Tricia 19.3, Nemo 4.4.3. samsung J3 phone.
Worked good for me following Jeff suggestion (post #36). Install libmtp 1.1.16.
Before, Nemo would take forever building dir of DCIM (if even returning), now
it is ok. I can transfer files, delete, whatever, NO root needed. I confir

I just installed 20.10 and when choosing a font for the gnome-terminal
it randomly picks width and style for me and won't let me choose
differently. E.g. when I search for Ubuntu Mono I can only see
bold+italic but can't choose nothing else.

Absolutely right. The screenshot in comment #11 appears to be this bug
and it's the same kind of issue as bug 1855757 / bug 1809407, which is
caused by the design of the Nvidia Linux driver:

The fix is already shipping in Ubuntu 20.10 but I don't know when a fix
is planned for Ubuntu 20.04. That will be part of the update to mutter
3.36.7.

It sounds like the gnome-shell process only is being slowed. Do you have
any network mounts perhaps? What if you remove those?
Separately please also try disabling the Ubuntu Dock extension in the
Extensions app.
