I've tried this from pop!_os 20.04, nVidia 2060 super GTX, 4k monitor.
Starting off in 100% scaling, I select 125% scaling. Before enabling
proposed, this resulted in the screen switching off.
Since enabling proposed and installing the updated packages, this now
doesn't switch the screen off, but
We'll eventually get a retry support in apt, if updating failed, but
there are no plans to react to connection state changes.
The retry will be linear every 10 minutes or so I suppose, but can't be
sure, we'll have to see - I'd do exponential, but systemd does not give
us an option for that.

Scaling (and second monitor rotation) now works for me as well 20.04 nvidia
2070 super.
One problem however is If I have the scaling set at e.g. 175% full screen apps
(games) don't show up full screen, but only take up a portion of the screen.

update the game no longer launches. The launcher does but when I select
a server nothing happens, it just goes to desktop as if I never launched

Generally crashing apps should not be reported as bugs against gnome-
shell. Even if gnome-shell did do anything wrong then a crash would
still be the app's fault. Or wine's fault, in which case we can track
the crash here, so...
