Still can't use different scales on my monitors. Need to set 125% on my
32" and 150% on my 43", but it freaks out even with the update on the
proposed channel. Still have to set 150% only on the 32", let it jump
both monitors to 200%, then tweak it in nvidia-settings.

Gnome 3.36 Ubuntu 20.04 workspace changing us
Yeah. But this problem did not exist in the previous version of Ubuntu. It
is causing a visual glitch as well as a functional problem, i.e when I
4-finger swipe down and before the mid animation of changing workspace if
close the overview, the workspace does not change which feels very
unnatural.

bug is still present. But its effects are much less than previous.
I copied an image from Telegram and I was unable to paste it in Firefox (in a
textbox where I could paste to it usually). However, I could paste it in

Regarding my previous comment, it seems I must've restarted the process
before the upgrade taking effects. After restarting Firefox, I can copy-
paste from and into it.

I only had gsconnect enabled (sorry, I forgot about that), all other were

As workaround for those with just one monitor (or many but the same
size), I tried what Kristo Ojasaar (kristoo) already suggested and I
found something even simpler. There is no needs for the 'Tweak'-tool:
For a 4k monitor, set it to 100% and go to Settings -> Universal Access
and activate 'large
I tried text trick already, but unfortunately it doesn’t really solve the
problem. All of the regular UI elements (icons etc) remain tiny. I would
really suggest if we could please not go that route, and instead focus on
fixing the scaling properly, if possible.

It looks like this is possibly already Fix Released? Per #6 it was added
to 3.36.1-5ubuntu1 which is older than what I have installed:

Sorry I somehow missed your message for a month ago, Sebastien. It
seems I missed a notification about it somehow.
That said, all seems to be working now. I haven't tried it in some
time, but the banner text is now displaying as it should.

When I was using CLion, the machine froze for around 5-10 minutes. In
that time, Gnome was frozen and would not even update the time. When it

The upstream fix was just merged into master. I am not sure if/when the
fix will be backported to gnome-3-36 branch, however fixing this in
Ubuntu should be pretty easy. The fix consists of these two commits that
can be applied downstream (in deb gnome-software / Snap Store):
