I experienced the same bug with syslog flooded. It seems that it happens
when PDF or SVG documents have embedded LaTeX font (often cmr10 but I
bet that with others it would be the same) gnome has problems with
generating thumbnails. In my case it is looking for the right TFM file

Same issue for me on Ubuntu 19.10 and Wayland. Laptop screen (primary)
is 1080p at 100%, one external display is 4K at 200%. Opening Chrome and
moving it to the external display has no effect: it stays super small.

unequally/choppy. I did a fresh install (deleting and overwriting 19.04 with
