I see this problem when I am running Calibre and connect a Kindle Fire.
The Fire shows up as a mounted device in Nautilus, but has nothing on it
(which is wrong). Errors from both dmesg and Calibre imply that the
problem may be related to libusb_claim_interface()

I wanted to try Ubuntu 19.04 on my new ASUS UX533 laptop, but it
miserably failed right after selecting "Try Ubuntu" in the GRUB menu.
- download the 64-bit PC (AMD64) desktop image and write it on a USB key with dd
- boot the laptop from the USB key
=> the GRUB screen disp
Doesn't affect gvfs.

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on my new ASUS UX533F laptop.
The installation seemed successful at first - except for the audio not
working - but then:
- open "Software Updates"
- accept to install all available updates
- reboot

Looks like that was it. I removed all my extensions and I don't get that
app display error anymore. I guess I will have to do without the net
speed extension :(

Not much to say. It crashes every time, I cleick devices - and then
continues to crash on every start up. Trying the command:
gsettings reset org.gnome.ControlCenter last-panel
as a known workaround for a similar problem, will let me access gnome-
control-center and use it

and check if any useful error message is printed when you click Devices.

of everything that has been installed from third-party repositories, do
a clean upgrade, and re-install any pruged packages from the Debian
repos. With some big What-Ifs remaining when said packages happen to
e.g. not be avail

"[..] do a clean upgrade, and re-install any purged packages from the
Ubuntu repos [...]"
and not supposed to imply that packages from Debian should be mixed into
an Ubuntu system by default.
