Just logged in and this bug comes out of nowhere. Moreover, when trying
to launch gnome-software from terminal , It doesn't launch and shows a

Temporary workaround:
1) sudo mv /usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gsd-housekeeping
/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon/gsd-housekeeping.off
2) logout and login
This needs to be redone when "gnome-settings-daemon" package is updated.
I do not know if it is doing something useful for some people.

As of today's 18.04 version, on a dell xps-13 (the old i7-4500U one), to
reproduce:
- boot Ubuntu
- Press Ctrl+Alt+F2 (or F3 or...)
Expected behaviour: virtual console should appear with login prompt.
Actual behaviour: nothing happens.
When a user is logged in, Ctrl+Alt+F3

I'm still getting failures. This is with a fixed variety and no gnome-
shell extensions other than the default ubuntu extensions.

high even in the (rare) event I could kill Eclipse. Would the sw-rendering
toolkit keep alive in the case Eclipse is killed ? Would be a bug in Eclipse ?

I have a bug since the recent updates on Ubuntu 18.04 (post 10th March):
when the user password contains a circumflex accent, like "รป", access is
denied even if password entered is correct and I stay blocked in a loop
at gdm login screen - error message (translated from F
This still happens in 17.10, and it is probably because a DBUS call
Totem does, as deleting
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.gnome.ScreenSaver.service solves the
problem.
Btw, gnome-screensaver-command -l doesn't even notify you when it didn't
do anything. At least cinnamon-screensaver-command -l sh

The version of ibus-libpinyin in the Ubuntu archive is now 1.9.2, and I
assume this issue is fixed there, so closing. Fixing it in previous
releases is low priority; it will only happen if you can find anyone who
is willing to do
