Trying to install daily build 3/1/18 and seeing the install window close

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

I can reproduce the issue by unplugging and usb stick! When I plug it in
nothing special happens, but when I unplug it the bug appears
immediately. The same workaroud (switching VTs) resolves it temporarily.
It does not happen 100% of the time though. It did happen 4 times in a

The prior attempt to install was with a USB. Create a bootable DVD with
the same daily build level and the install process failed at the same
location, right after the Who are You? screen. Couldn't get to the
syslog because the install process was no longer responding so could not
verify the G_UD
Even though 3.28 is due out after the Bionic feature freeze? What about
X.Org 1.20, which is due out a few days later?
