I am having the same issue with Ubuntu 17.10 running on XORG. This is a
VM inside vmware fusion pro 10. The mouse can move around but the clicks
dont work anywhere. I start a terminal session with ctrl + alt + t and
then alt + tab and then click on the terminal that i opened earlier for
the clicks

I just upgraded from 17.04 to 17.10 today and am experiencing the issue
as described. One thing not previously mentioned by others: I have two
factor auth enabled on my account. I was never asked for the 2nd auth,

Set 'use system theme'.
Disable Dash to Dock (to revert to Ubuntu Dock).
It will be a completely solid darker colour and won't go transparent when you

I have put your two screenshots side by side, flipped, and zoomed in.
See attached.
It appears there is no difference in the window decoration edges
(although the different wallpaper colour behind makes them look
different).
There is definitely a change in the X button design that is now visible.

You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have a Lenovo T440s (haswell) and an ultradock with external monitor.
If I resume on the dock, wayland seems to recognize the lid as closed
and suspends. The work around is to (1) open the lid, bring up the
display control tab and switch to single monit
Thanks, but that bug seems to be less conclusive for some reason. Maybe
repeat a couple of times? Or maybe the MALLOC_CHECK_ is now hitting a
much earlier issue not related to this one.
