No headerbar plugin extension enabled despite for it being the default
in rhythmbox. This is due to the per-session override not working for
the way rhythmbox access the value.

Today I learned from omgubuntu how to reset my gnome/ubuntu desktop
settings (dconf reset -f /), and thought I'd do it, seeing as I had
upgraded from a Zesty install at an earlier stage of 17.10's pre-release
period, and further customised as time went on in the normal way of
I'm also suffering from this bug, so here's some workarounds I've found
on the Internet.
SO suggests the following workarounds:
* gtk-launch foo opens foo.desktop
* exo-open [[path-to-a-desktop-file]...]
* hashbang: #!/usr/bin/env deskopen

This bug is an upstream one in Adwaita icon I guess, but still good to test:
- installing the gnome vanilla session (sudo apt install gnome-session), reboot
and switch to the "GNOME" session in GDM.
- you should have the Adwaita theme
Maybe that's somehow related to graphics driver. I've tested on my
wife's laptop (Intel) and I can't reproduce the issue from my desktop
(nVidia).
Also I'm not able to install gnome-session:

a file in /etc/profile.d replaces the modifications of im-
config.service. It works AFAICT, but I'd appreciate your confirmation
