Khurshid, sure. nautilus 3.23.90 is in the GNOME3 Staging PPA and works
about the same as 3.22. This is not in zesty because of the three things
mentioned in To Do that do not affect 16.10.

Pictures in /Pictures/boh are a fresh copy of some (same names) in /Pictures.
The old ones have a visible thumbnail, the new ones have a bad thumbnail.
Also the old files in /Pictures have a good thumbnail while the new ones have a
bad thumbnail.

I'm using Rhytmbox 3.3-1ubuntu7. I'm listening to some podcasts and I've
noticed the 'Last played' column in the playlist section is never
updated.
Can you look into this issue?

You've reported this bug against Ubuntu 16.04, whereas Unicode 9.0 was
released in June 2016. The expected behavior in that distro is hence
Unicode 8.0's.
gnome-terminal takes the character width from glib (package:
libglib2.0-0), which has surprisingly upgraded to Unicode 9.0 in a micro
version,
For the record I've done a "update-desktop-database" and it made no
difference.

I have the same issue with `gnome-terminal`, but also other
applications, like `gnome-system-monitor`, on Ubuntu 16.10, so this
might be a more widespread issue.

I've seen this issue for the first time, after upgrading to 4.8 HWE
kernel, including xorg-xserver hwe. Kernel is 4.8.0-36-generic
