On Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS Xenial, mdadm segfaults every day on two machines.
Everything works as normal though, and the RAID arrays are not degraded.

Can anybody reproduce this when "gnome-software --verbose" is running;
e.g. so we have debug logs?

This is still a problem. Can we please re-open this? It really makes it
hard to operate.
I logged into a box that has Firefox full screen, and cannot un-
fullscreen it (because vinagre captures f11 itself).

The issue is that you used the GNOME3 Staging PPA for Xenial. As soon as
yakkety opened up, you upgraded to yakkety keeping the GNOME 3.20
packages but without the GNOME3 PPAs.
The PPA has a note that you should run ppa-purge prior to upgrading to a new
Ubuntu version:

Totally my fault! Now I remember, when I first installed 16.04 I removed
it as it was chewing up CPU time and battery and it was not clear to me
for what it is needed. Now I know what I need it for! Sorry to have
burdened you. It is well behaved now though.
