I went to the download page for Chrome, and chose to open with "Software
Installer (default)" to install it directly. Even if the installation
worked, when completed Software told me that it couldn't find google-
chrome-stable (see attachment).

This is still happening for me on Ubuntu 14.04 on a Thinkpad 440S. When
I undock and redock the external monitor physically on the left side is
configured to be on the right and the activities bar remains on the
laptop. If I reset the machine while docked it returns to the correct
state.

This happened to me for first time.
Yesterday: - AGPS enabled.
- Drive 2 times, 36 km each time. No problems.
Night: - Fly mode.
Today: - Exit Fly mode and 3G (not wifi enabled).

I couldn't manage to reproduce the situation were GPS is not updated but
I got 5 white screens in a route of 1,5 hours, witch didn't happen

Not that I can think of. Probably the easiest way is to install/remove
something huge? e.g. libreoffice, a game with large data files.
